Why North Star

Built for the way Alaska freezes, thaws and drains.

Our experienced team understands Alaska’s unique soils, freeze-thaw conditions, drainage challenges and short build season. We believe good landscaping starts with careful planning, straight answers and proper workmanship.

01

Thoughtful planning

Every project starts with the site itself: grade, drainage, soil and how the space will actually be used.

02

Honest communication

Clear scope, clear pricing and straight answers from the first consultation through final completion.

03

Skilled craftsmanship

Base preparation, compaction and drainage detail done properly, because that is what lasts through winter.

04

Attention to every detail

The finish work, the edges and the clean-up are held to the same standard as the structure underneath.

How we work

From first consultation to final walkthrough.

Alaska’s season is short. A clear process is how projects stay on schedule and finish properly.

Start your project
STEP 01

Consultation & site assessment

We walk the property, listen to how you want to use it, and assess grade, drainage, soil and access before anything is proposed.

STEP 02

Design & detailed proposal

You receive a considered plan and a clear written scope, so you know exactly what is being built, in what order and at what cost.

STEP 03

Installation

Our crews handle excavation, base preparation, drainage, hardscape and planting, with the site kept clean and communication kept open.

STEP 04

Walkthrough & ongoing care

We finish with a walkthrough of the completed work, then maintain the landscape we built so it keeps performing season after season.

Full-service maintenance

Complete property care. Not mow-and-go.

We want to be known for comprehensive landscape care rather than basic lawn service. That means maintaining lawns, planting beds, trees, shrubs and hardscapes, and taking responsibility for the overall appearance and health of the property.

Included in full-service care

Residential properties, plus select HOA and commercial sites across Anchorage and Eagle River.

  • Lawn care and fertilization
  • Planting bed maintenance
  • Tree and shrub care

Architectural lighting that stays up all year.

Reputation

What homeowners say.

Our goal is not simply to complete projects, but to set the standard for professional landscaping in Alaska and become the company customers confidently recommend to others.

North Star knocked it out of the park with our yard. It is always a challenge with new construction lots and his team did an outstanding job. Now I get to sit back and watch the grass grow.
